Collegiate Times Reporting
I started working on the social media team for Virginia Tech’s student-run newspaper, The Collegiate Times, during the Spring 2026 semester. This page showcases some of the projects that I’ve worked on with the paper.
2026 Remembrance Weekend
Remembrance weekend was my first experience covering a story for the Collegiate Times. Starting with the lighting of the ceremonial candle at midnight on Thursday, I had a jam-packed weekend of filming and editing my coverage. I picked up the story late Thursday evening, so I cobbled together some gear from my apartment and the school library to be able to cover the candle lighting. By the start of the run on Saturday, though, I had pared down what gear I was using and followed the route of the run around campus on my bike and on foot. I edited my coverage down into two vertical videos posted on the paper’s Instagram.

Run in Remembrance
Coverage of Virginia Tech’s annual 3.2 for 32 Run in Remembrance, a walk/run in remembrance of the 32 hokies killed in the 2007 shooting on Tech campus.
